In addition to our comprehensive regional know-how, the management team has significant expertise in a wide variety of industries including technology, telecommunications, financial services, retail/consumer, government, industrials and transportation/logistics.

Kazim Raza Awan -Chairman

Kazim is the Chairman and big boss at Cupola Group MEA, where he’s in charge of greenlighting all the big decisions. He’s got a ton of experience in starting, improving and scaling businesses, and served on the board of the International Card Manufacturers Association. He’s even been recognized as a “Market Pioneer in the UAE” for his contribution to the business process outsourcing industry.

Kazim’s got a couple of fancy degrees from the London School of Economics and has taken some highfalutin management courses at Harvard and Stanford. In his spare time, Kazim likes to hit a squash ball and dig at the golf course. He’s also a big fan of Manchester United and often imagines himself on the club’s board fixing their day to day issues.

Sajjad Hamid -Chief Commercial Officer

Sajjad is the Chief Commercial Officer at Cupola Group MEA, where he’s in charge of all things related to revenue. He’s a total sales machine and has even won some fancy awards for it. Sajjad proudly displays his MBA (and top ranked student certificate) from Keele University and his BBA from European University in his office. While he is academically accomplished, the real reason for his success is his personable approach and positive outlook. It also helps that he built up his sales pedigree at Memo Express (Aramex) and Al Nabooda Automobiles prior to Cupola.

When he’s not trying to sell you something, you can find him on the golf course or cheering on Manchester United. He’s been trying to improve his handicap since the days when Manchester United were actually good… about 14 years ago.

Sabir KV -Chief Technology Officer

Sabir is the Chief Technology Officer at Cupola Group MEA, where he is responsible for all things tech. He makes sure that the organization’s IT systems are running smoothly and always keeps up with industry standards like ISO 27001:2013 and PCI DSS.

In his spare time, Sabir enjoys fighting cybercrime like it’s his day job (which, let’s be real, it kind of is). He is also a certified nerd, having received his CISM and CRISC certifications. When he’s not busy saving the world from technological disasters, Sabir can be found binge-watching “Mr. Robot” or trying to beat the high score on his favorite video game. On nice days, he swaps the computer screens for his bike and tears up the roads as an avid cyclist.

Taimur Awan -Chief Executive Officer

Taimur is the CEO and wannabe boss man at Cupola Group MEA responsible for running the business and growing the company’s bank account. He’s cut his teeth at the company in a number of operational and business development roles. Before Cupola, Taimur was an investment banker at J.P Morgan in New York. He puts that experience to use occasionally when the company looks at M&A deals.

He’s also got some impressive education under his belt, with an MBA from the University of Chicago and a B.Sc. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Taimur used to be a pretty good football player until he tore his ACL four times, so now he’s stuck playing golf (not very well). When he’s not working or golfing, you can find him cheering on Arsenal.

Awais Lodhi -Director - Strategy

As the Director of Strategy at Cupola Group MEA, Awais is all about growing the business and making sure everything runs smoothly for the company’s clients. He’s worked his way up the company ladder, tackling everything from business development to sales to operations. Before Cupola, he was a software developer at one of Pakistan’s biggest software houses.

When he’s not working, Awais can be found on the golf course or cricket field. He’s a scratch golfer and a former national table tennis champion. He’s also pretty smart, with an MBA and a degree in computer science from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).

Rohit Kango -Director - Finance

As the Director of Finance at Cupola Group MEA, Rohit is the company’s resident financial wizard. He’s a pro at financial reporting, internal controls and treasury management. He has the added responsibility of managing the company’s HR team. Before joining Cupola, Rohit worked in audit and assurance at Big Four accounting firm PwC and even had a short stint as a consultant at the World Bank.

He’s a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and has a degree in commerce from the University of Pune. When he’s not working, you can find Rohit hitting the yoga mat or pounding the pavement for a marathon. He’s recently discovered the joy of football and is a keen Liverpool supporter.
